 Skip has more than 35 years of Executive Management Experience having served as Chairman, CEO,   

 President, COO, EVP, SVP of Finance, Executive Director and EVP of Strategy and New Business. He has

 several successful start-ups and has been involved in the launching of several new industry organizations

 such as Former Exec Director, and Society for Medical Practice Design Co-Founder eHealth Initiative. Skip

 graduated from Old Dominion University and completed extensive graduate courses in Finance and    

 Management. Skip is a former E & Y VA Entrepreneur of Year Finalist.

Joel A. Kahn, MD - Chief Medical Innovations Officer, Board Member

Joel has more than 25 years of experience exploring the intersection of business, healthcare and technology. He is the Chief Medical Officer of First Line Software where he focuses on driving their global health solutions. Focused on executive management, operations, compliance, analytics, technology and their application in the healthcare and wellness industry. Prior to First Line Software he was the Chief Operating Officer and Chief Medical Officer at eMindful Inc. This position directly oversaw all technology, curriculum development, customer support, compliance (HIPAA/ HITRUST), and research. Previously, he was the Executive Vice-President and Chief Information Officer of WorldCare Inc. (a medical second opinion company) and the President of WorldCare Global Health Plan Ltd.

Shaival Kapadia, MD - Clinical Advisor

Shaiv is the former Chief Medical Officer and Co-Founder at both Iggbo and C3 Nexus. In addition, he serves as Co-Director of Bon Secours Heart and Vascular Institute. His decades of experience as a board-certified cardiologist, author, and nationally recognized speaker bring a mastery of clinical medicine that’s often lacking in preventative care. But Dr. Kapadia’s real goal is to change the way we care for real people.

 

 

 

James Wilson, Esquire - Legal Affairs Officer, Board of Members

Jim has 20 years’ experience with the US Navy on active duty and in the Naval Reserves. He was medically retired in 1999. He flew the EA-6B for fifteen of those years and he worked in the Intelligence community for Navy Operational Intelligence Center for three years. Leaving active duty in 1989, Jim completed his law degree at University of Richmond School of Law. Upon graduation, he began practicing in the area of business law, developing a practice centered on start-ups, business acquisitions, business financing, franchising and private securities offerings.

                                                       

Jonathan M. Evans, MD, MPH, CMD - Medical Advisor

Jonathan is the former chief of the Section of Geriatric Medicine at University of Virginia.  He graduated from Mayo Medical School in 1989, and completed a residency in Internal Medicine and a fellowship in geriatrics medicine at Mayo Clinic, where he subsequently became a staff physician and associate professor of medicine at Mayo Medical School.  He is the past President of AMDA – The Society for Post-Acute and Long-Term Care Medicine and is board certified in Internal Medicine, Geriatric Medicine, and Hospice and    Palliative Medicine. Life Care Centers of America, the first Joint Commission accredited long-term care company for more than 200 skilled nursing, rehabilitation, Alzheimer’s and senior living campuses in 28 states.

Bob is co-founder and former Executive Vice President of Healthways, Inc. Bob is a recognized pioneer in the healthcare industry and is a charter board member and former President of the Disease Management Association of America and the Care Continuum Alliance advocating industry accreditation standards. Bob held key leadership positions with several hospitals and has been guest faculty at Harvard, MIT and George Washington University.  Bob earned his undergraduate degree in Communications at Stanford and his MBA in Health Care Administration at George Washington University.

 

Mark Blatt, MD - Emerging Patient Technologies Advisor

Mark recently retired as the Worldwide Medical Director and Healthcare Technology Evangelist at Intel Corp.  Mark is a pioneer in delivering technologies and applications that allow seniors to age in place resulting in better health and quality of life. Mark earned his medical Degree at Albany Medical College and his Masters from Yale University.
